Very fine painting of Napoleon on his white horse, with his sword drawn above a fallen soldier, with other soldiers in the background, officers and enlisted, in original gilded frame with shells, vines and tendrils (some missing), overall good condition, labeled on verso “Isaac Van Voorhees…New York”, canvas signed on back in oval (LeFrance, Ms. De Coeleirs…?), 14 1/2″ x 17 1/2″ (sight), 24″ x 27″ (frame). [Note: Blacklight shows a very small touchup above Napoleon’s head.]
