Tiger maple, varnish finish, (older stained varnish was evidently removed), round top, slender turned and tapered shaft, beveled cleat with rounded ends attached to top with six screws, gracefully arched and slightly beveled legs on raised foot, old glued split at bottom of shaft, tin plate with forged nails, c. 1820-1830, from a Vermont collection.
