Maple and figured maple, original light red stained varnish finish, finely turned finials with medial scribe line, three graduated slats, early caned seat, wood pegged short rockers, (note: was originally conceived as a tilter chair but made into a rocker by the Shakers), Canterbury, NH, c. 1830-1840, very fine condition, 14 1/2″ seat h, 38 1/2″ overall h.
