Maple and ash, old cranberry red painted finish, bulbous finials with central scribe lines, three arched slats, original stripe tape seat in blue, red, green and mottled white, carved oak rockers, pegged into stiles, some minor repairs, Alfred or Sabbathday Lake, ME, c. 1820-1840, 12″ seat h, 35″ overall h.

This lot includes a cotton cloth remnant of “Shaker Mills Flour Sack, New Gloucester, Maine”, (used as stuffing for the seat).
