Lot 18: Folding Ladder

Walnut, original varnish finish, on both sides are three matching shaped steps mortised through the vertical sides at the top and bottom steps, and thumbnail molded on the inside corners of the vertical sides, 35″ h, 20″ width (base), 31″ depth.

A rare architectural form of step ladder that folds for storage, probably used by Sisters to reach the top of tall cupboards.
