Maple, original ebony black finish, acorn finials, three slats, back of top slat is stamped “5”, bottom slat on back shows Mt. Lebanon oval Trademark decal on both chairs, light tan stripe tape seat, curvilinear arms with mushroom caps, very fine patinated finish, excellent condition, Mt. Lebanon, NY, Brother Wagan Chair Factory, c. 1880, (note: rare to find a pair of #5 armchairs in this condition), 15 1/2″ seat h, 37″ overall h.
