Poplar and oak, original dark red stained varnish finish, single slat mortised into two turned stiles, three spindles, shaped poplar seat, turned legs and boxed stretchers, Western community origin, c. 1840-1850, repair on one chair at top of spindles, possibly Whitewater or North Union, OH, 15″ seat h, 27 1/2″ overall h.
