Figured birch and pine, original red stained varnish finish, overhung lipped rim (not applied, each side was cut with the rim intact), very fine dovetailed construction, interior fashioned with a till container at one end, possibly a Sister's box used for serving utensils, c. 1840, 5″ h, 14 1/2″ l, 7″ d, (ex. Don Emerich collection).
