Maple and pine, original natural finish, two fingers, pewter tacks, wood pegs, signed inside lid “Martha Perry”, along with a handwritten note “3 1/2” round single fingered box, signed on the bottom and inside the cover ‘Martha Perry’. She was a sister at North Union, Ohio Shaker Community. When the Community closed, the Sisters from Canterbury, N.H. came and packed what was there and brought it all back to Canterbury. This box was originally purchased in New Hampshire. The finger on the box and the one on the cover are perfectly matched.”, 3 1/2” dia, (Flo and Howard Fertig collection).
