Lined white pages, dated 1948, with handwritten lists of Shaker Fancy Goods, antiques, sewing articles, canned goods, “Sold at the School House”, at Mt. Lebanon and Hancock, MA by Sister’s Miriam (Wall), Alice H. (Howland), and Eldress Emma (Neal), to collectors such as Mrs. Belfit (one straight chair), “Mr. Williams, Old Chatham, NY”, he purchased “1 writing desk – $125.00, 1 measure – $5.00, Books – Mt. Lebanon – $8.00, 1 wooden pail – $8.00, Shoe working tools – $25.00”, among other Shaker made pieces; and a letter dated Jan. 27, 1945, to “Eldress Emma, Sister, Blanche and I are much pleased with the Report you have sent to us giving an account of the Sisters industry in providing the various industries for the Bazaar…” Sisters Josephine and Blanche.
