Maple, heavy bail wire handle, lift lid with symmetrical rows of holes drilled through, with tin plate attached underneath, dovetailed case lined inside with heavy tin, fitted soapstone block with wire bail, 7” h, 12” l, 7” d, (Flo and Howard Fertig collection).

Note: Soapstone block becomes heated on a wood stove and then inserted in the wooden case.
