Lot 239: Two Baskets

Black ash, shallow round form with small side handles, double wrapped rim, good condition, 3 1/2″ h (to rim), 4 1/2″ h (to top of handle), 12″ dia; Rectangular basket with carved side handles, four carved feet raise the base, (note: this fine and rare 19th c. basket was possibly Native American made and traded to the Shakers, as it has characteristics of both communities).
