Maple, oak table, original natural finish, four carved arms with finely turned handle with three scribe lines, hand carved oak central gear, with small peg that lifts a signal hammer to indicate a full skein, beveled table on three octagonal, splayed, oak tapered legs, all pegged and mortised, (note: an exceptional Shaker made winder for Sister’s work), found in Maine, c. 1830, 43″ h (to top of winder), 25 1/2″ w, 24″d.
