Lot 145: Rare Shaker Bed

Pine backboard, original blue painted maple rails and feet, Shaker woven rope is intact, small wood wheels on bottom of feet for sliding bed sideways for easy cleaning underneath, unusual short slanted sides at head double pegged into rails, deaccessioned from Fruitlands Museum, Harvard Shakers, c. 1830-1840, 5′ 8″ l, 39″ w, 19″ backboard.
