Cast steel shovel, small ball end at top, shovel swells at top of shaft to form handle, down to a tapered rectangle at forged scoop with sides, 21 1/2″ l, 4″ to 4 1/2″ w; Cast steel tongs, very finely crafted, 19 1/2″ l; (note: made by a master Shaker whitesmith, c. 1850).
