Pine, original brown stained finish with two pegs (2″), beveled edges, 23 1/2″ l, 3″ w; Cotton string mop head, with finely turned handle, string loop to hang on peg, scribe lines at top, 36″ l; Birch, finely turned handle, wire and string sewn broom-corn short broom, (Shakers invented the flat broom), string loop to hang on peg, double scribe lines at top, 26″ l; (note: all three pieces were gathered from North Family, New Lebanon, NY, in the 1950’s by the late collector James Bissland).
