Cherry wood and poplar, beveled lids with turned hardwood knobs, finely dovetailed vertical boxes with red painted script “Beans” and “Crackers”, c. 1830-1840, (note: these are quite rare as we have never seen this form of wooden canister), 10″ h, 5″ sq, (ex. Dr. Oscar and Lois Hollander collection).
