Pine and birch, original red painted finish, c. 1830, symmetrically nailed lap with hand forged iron nails, small break at bottom edge and 1/4″ missing between two nail joints, and top shows small series of holes over 1/2 surface, original Shaker paper printed label “Mullein Leaves, Alfred, Me.”, (note: Mullein leaf is a medicinal herb used to treat infections and is derived from the Verbascum Thapsus plant), 4 3/4″ h, 10″ dia.
