Description
Poplar and birch, tall curved backboard, with hole at top for hanging on a peg board, rectangular birch base with raised lip, classic Shaker form in light red/brown stain, tagged at top and in ink “From the Shakers”, (note: probably North Family, New Lebanon, as most of the Bissland collection was acquired there in the 1950’s/60’s), 24″ h, 10 1/2″ w at base, (ex. Bissland collection).
