Pine and poplar, original red painted finish, hinged lift lid, with paper tag “Shaker Blanket Box, from Watervliet, N.Y.”, and two cleats affixed with hand-forged screws, dovetailed case, interior with open till box and dovetailed drawer under, (originally Ed Clerk collection), Watervliet, NY, c. 1840, shows some scratching and in-use wear, good overall condition, 13″ h, 30 1/2″ l, 13 1/2″ d.
