Maple and tiger maple, retaining an original rare red stained surface, scroll arm, tapered front posts with a small collar turned just below the arm, thin rocker blades set into slots in the legs and affixed with wooden pins, appears to be original ash splint seat, Mt. Lebanon, NY, c. 1840, 15 1/2″ seat h, 44 1/4″ overall h.
