Pine, original mustard yellow paint, black painted steel wrapping bands, teardrop shaped metal bail plate, with maple handle, medial scribe mark, initialed on bottom in black ink “E.J.N.”, New Lebanon, NY, c. 1860, small yellow tag “Shaker Bucket 4164″, 6″ h (to rim), 11 1/2″ h (to top of handle), 10” dia, (ex. Ed and Celeste Koster collection). [Note: Sister Emma Jane Neale (1847-1943) became a trustee at Mount Lebanon in 1882 at the age of 35. Neale was a great businesswoman and created a cloak manufacturing company “E.J. Neale & Co.”. Neale lived at Mount Lebanon for 88 years.]
