Ministry blue painted blanket box, poplar, hinged lid with applied molded and rounded edges, finely dovetailed case, molded low and dovetailed arched base, attached cutout boards at each back foot to keep chest from the wall, interior lidded till on right side, excellent condition and patina, c. 1850, 18 1/2″ h, 38″ l, 16 3/4″ d.
