Black ash splint, rectangular form, single wrapped rim, finely carved hoop handles, open weave bottom, initials carved on side of handle “M H”, yellow tag on side of handle “Given to us by Shaker Sister Ethel Hudson, Canterbury, N.H.” and “to Ted and Marilyn, Christmas 1975, from Sister Ethel Hudson”, and large tag reads “Alice Howland”, Canterbury, NH, c. 1850, 9 1/2″ h (to rim), 17″ h (to handle), 20 1/2″ l, 15″ w, (ex.
