Pine, original red stained finish, top section with two sets of three lipped drawers flanking a central small cupboard door with inset panel with molding around, brass spring door catch, original chrome yellow stained interior, all with original cherry wood pulls, over a sewing surface with sliding breadboarded extended work surface, over three small graduated drawers to the left, three large drawers graduated on right hand side, upon four turned and swelled legs, (history is included), Canterbury, NH, c. 1840-1850, attributed to Eli Kidder (see Shaker Furniture Makers, Grant and Allen, p. 145, Fig. 119 for similar example), 39″ h, 26 1/4″ h (to the work surface), 30″ w, 24″ d.
