Edo period, unsigned, oblong mokko gata shape plate of nigurome with raised edge having large grain nanako ground that is gilded gold, the web enjoys fine grain nanako ground with the high relief design of the legend of Omori Hikoshichi, with the Hannya on his back, their faces, arms and legs of silver inlay, other features include gold gilding, the reverse with a stone lantern, pine tree, and the same nanako ground, this is a classic example of the work of the Nagoya-mono group, who often worked in the style of the later Edo period Goto school who were unable to satisfy the demand, (ex.
