Two firkins, one signed on bottom in brown ink script “Made by Cotton Hersey 1878, aged 86 years, Born 1792″, both 2 1/4″ h (to rim) and 3 3/4” h (to top of handle); Small octagonal pail, walnut and maple, with wire bail and two tin side straps, signed on bottom “Aug. 8th 1877, Nantasket. Myra.”, 1 3/4″ h (to rim); Rare turned pail, flared top, ebony painted faux straps, and a wire bail with wood handle, good patina, 2 1/8″ h (to rim).
