Oil on academy board, signed in pencil on upper part of frame in back and dated “William W. Kennedy, 1854” (American, 1817, 1871), green/gray dress with white fringe neckline, gold chain necklace, rectangular onyx and gold brooch, flowers on the right, mahogany veneered frame, purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Fertig at Sotheby’s “Important Americana” auction, Feb. 1, 1986, lot 434, (ex. Fertig collection).
