Circular, lacquerware, framed, embroidered silk fans/fire screens, one complete with carved and painted handle, and side tassels, depicting a pair of peacocks, in muted orange thread, good condition, 17″ l, 10 1/2″ dia; and another (sans handle), with ibis and long tailed birds on flowered branches, some staining, 10 1/2″ dia, from the estate of William Franklin Spinney (1853-1929) through the Brooks estate of Salem, MA to the present Great Grand niece of William Spinney.
