Queen Anne diminutive drop leaf table, mahogany and New England white pine, one board top with semi-circular leaves, in dark brown stain, cabriole legs starting with cut out ends and terminating in gracefully simple carved feet, swing legs feature carved and pegged construction, made in Boston (or the surrounding area), c. 1740-1780, includes detailed provenance of the table’s history with a few major families, (note: belonged to Experience “Grandma Peddie” Ames, wife of Simeon Ames of John Alden’s lineage, great-great-granddaughter of Myles Standish), evidence of repair, 29″ h, 36″ w, 35 1/2″ d.
