Depicting a younger gentleman in formal attire with brown hair and blue eyes, old paper label on reverse reads “Perhaps painted by John A. MacDougall”, (John Alexander MacDougall, New Jersey, 1810-1894), appears to have once been part of a folding case, in excellent condition, gilt wooden frame, 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ (sight), (ex. Dr. Oscar and Lois Hollander collection, Falmouth, MA).
