Shaped cane with full body male lion standing on a serpent with its tail wrapped around the lion's body, the 1 7/8″ ivory top part of shaft depicting two standing lions with crowns holding a crowned plaque, supported with leafy scrolls on a 1/2″ silver band, hardwood turned and tapered shaft, (repaired at 22″, cane possibly shortened by an inch), 2″ silver ferrule, marked “Faunce, Sterling.”, (missing a glass eye and tail piece), 33 1/2″ l, (ex. Dr. Oscar and Lois Hollander collection, Falmouth, MA).
