Seascape with a dory and three sailors rowing out to a three-masted ship on a turbulent sea, in an intricately carved gilt frame depicting ropework and a pulley at top, and a buoy and part of a mast at the bottom, the entire frame with plaster shaped into waves and ocean swell, signed “E.G. Franklin” and illegible date, originally owned by W. Torrey Little, famed Marshfield, MA auctioneer, 17 1/2″ x 39″ (sight).
