[The 77 Regiment of Foot (Infantry) 1758-1763, was also known as Montgomery’s Highlanders (a Scottish regiment). In 1763 this regiment fought in the Battle of Bushy Hill, PA, dispersing the Indian’s siege of Fort Pitt, in the French and Indian War.]
