19th c. full-length silhouette, dated on back “1827 by Caleb Gill Jr”, black figure of Solomon Lincoln (1804-1886), renowned Hingham, Mass. historian, faces right and is wearing an appropriate coat with tails, standing on a gray watercolor ground, gold painted oak frame, (consigned by direct descendant of Solomon Lincoln).
