Davis, JPR”, (missing two gears), 13″ dia; 18th c. long wood paddle with 24 drilled holes, tagged “…property of Solomon Loring estate (1701-1765), Olive Loring purchased it from the Hingham Ag. & Horticultural Society (impressed)…Thought to be an 18th c. implement used in candle making in Hingham, Mass., JPR”, (Note: an exceptional early Hingham piece), 31″ l; (ex. John P. Richardson collection).
