Rectangular, thin stock, butternut wood box, symmetrically nailed construction, with original green paper edging, natural finish with good patination, in-use wear, finely fitted lid, Canterbury, NH, c. 1880, 11 1/2″ h, 11″ l, 8 1/2″ w; with an early Sister’s poplarware bonnet, interior silk lining, some fine poplarware unraveled in back of bonnet, c. 1870, 6″ h, 8″ l.
