Pine, original soft brick red painted finish, one board pine top (25 3/4″ w, 4′ 11″ l, 2″ thick), framed with applied molding, full width drawer below (7″ d), lipped and dovetailed, with two original hardwood pulls (1 1/4″ l) with great patina, skirt is pinned and mortised into the maple legs, which are square and then turned with a medial swell (31″ h), Sabbathday Lake or Alfred, ME, c. 1830.

Was said to be used as a Sister’s laundry table.
This was Dr. McCue’s desk/table that he used in his upstairs back room.
