Cast iron, rectangular fire box, 23 1/4″ to 24 1/4″ width tapers to 9 1/2″ to 11″ at base, hinged door, cast iron latch with turned wood handle, four penny foot legged base with semicircular lipped front, on a rectangular sheet metal and wood base board, 26″ x 13 1/2″, on a tag written in ink “Mr. Gerald McCue”, and in pencil “for Shaker Furniture.”.
