Cherry, natural varnish and old patina, finely turned and carved with semicircular ends, one end is threaded for increasing the measurement, both are marked in script “No. 1” and “No. 2″ in black ink, 7 1/4″ l, 5 3/4” w, (Bissland collection #585 and #586).

These forms are quite rare, and are both North Family, New Lebanon, according to the Bissland catalog, one shows a small split.
