Maple, pine and cherry wood lid, original natural varnish finish, five fingers, bentwood swing handle, small copper tacks and points, interior lined with brown silk in a floral pattern with leaves and flowers, large tomato pincushion, beeswax cup with silk ribbon, strawberry emery with silk ribbon, finely woven poplar needlecase with brown silk ribbon and bow, trimmed in white kid leather, including a photo card “To whom it may concern…from the Evelyn Murphy collection…and sold at the auction of her estate on July 24, 1986…J.P. Bittner, auctioneer”, and then sold “WHA Nov 19 2000 Lot 26″, (note: this is one of the largest sewing carriers we’ve sold, and a very fine example of Shaker Sister’s work in the interior and Brother’s work on the making of the box), 5 1/2″ h, 14 1/2” l.
