Lot 28: Very Rare 18th c. Hutch Table

Shoe foot, pine and hardwood, with trestle feet, original red/Spanish brown painted finish, octagonal shaped top with intricately carved and pierced braces conforming to the base, with curved front and four inset paneled sides, very old patinated finish, 28″ h, 45″ w (top), 20 1/2″ w (base), (ex. Channing Howe estate, Duxbury, MA). [Note: This rare and possibly unique table was pictured on a full page in Wallace Nutting’s book Furniture Treasury, #1768.
