Lot 59: Rare Bobbin and Spool

Hardwood, finely turned handled bobbin, with turned bone spool caps, grooved wood midsection on a tapered and turned handle, with scribe lines (2 + 3) at end of handle, 13″ l; Shaker turned and carved bone spool, 1 1/2″ h, Canterbury, NH, c. 1830-1840, (note: this is only the second time we have seen Shaker turned bone spools).
